Phases

Work has been completed on Phase 1 and is currently underway on Phase 2. Phase 3, the final phase in Bradford is currently in the planning stage.

The Building Schools for the Future programme is the single biggest government investment in improving school buildings for over 50 years. Chosen as one of the Pathfinder areas, the Bradford district will be one of the first places in the country to reap the benefits of this programme, which will see secondary schools in England either rebuilt or refurbished.

In its role as a pathfinder Bradford opened 3 new secondary schools in September 2008. These were among the first BSF schools in the country to open their doors to students.

The construction programmes have been designed in partnership with the schools to make sure the work does not interfere with their normal operations.
